The Cleaning & Restoration Suite offers you an entire series of cleaning effects, which may be used in real time or offline.
The package consists of these plug-ins: de-noiser, de-clipper, de-clicker/decrackler, and the brilliance enhancer, which counteracts the typical loss of highs in the restoration process by adding harmonic overtones.

Spectral Cleaning
All products of the Sequoia software family contain Spectral Cleaning, which removes distortions (like coughing, crackling, or drop-outs). The audio material is displayed clearly as a spectrogram.
This time-saving editing tool is ideally suited for live-recordings, interviews or film sound where squeaky chairs, ringing cell phones or coughs might ruin your production. Conventional equalizing and even sophisticated cross-fade editing is extremely time consuming and further causing audible changes.
The 3D representation of the spectrogram (time on horizontal axis, frequency on vertical axis and amplitude as color), in combination with extensive listening comparison modes, makes precise surgical repair edits a manageable task
Noise may be easily selected for removal with the mouse. Lost components of the original frequency spectrum from the desired signal are recalculated into the recording through interpolation (Crossfade Mode). Other methods of removal include damping, fade-in and fade-out.

Denoiser
Sequoia uses advanced adaptive filter technology to remove noise from recordings. Especially in environments with heavy air conditioning system, recordings suffer from constant noise and often make audio delivery unacceptable.
By the use of noise prints, Sequoia’s de-noiser is able to filter out the disturbance with minimum effect on the audio material. Taking the noise print of an a/c systems and recalculating the noise from the material in realtime offers a time-saving method of preserving unique recordings.
